BACOLOD City – Suspected robbers of MRE Piggery Farm in Purok Kasantolan, Barangay Mailum, Bago City, Negros Occidental were arrested hours after the burglary was discovered.
Inspector Joeffer Cabural, Bago City acting police chief, identified the suspects as follows:
* Dennis Alicaya Torres, 31, of Barangay Villmonte, Bacolod City
* Carlo Briones, 20, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City
* Jeffrey Makilan Ascora, 25, of Sto. Niño, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City
* Mark Cordova.
Piggery security guard Joseph Salazar Aspero, 39, discovered the robbery around 11 a.m. on May 11. The city police and barangays were immediately alerted.
Around 2 a.m. on Friday Briones was arrested with a live pig about 15 kilos. His motorcycle was also confiscated.
An hour after, his companions were caught on the highway in Purok Pandan, Barangay Bacong by Barangay Captain Federico Gayagas and village watchmen.
From Cordova was recovered the .357 Magnum stolen from the piggery security guard.
The suspects were detained at the Bago City police station./PN
