BACOLOD City – A bakery worker died while his wife incurred injuries. Their tricycle crashed against a cargo truck on Rizal Street, San Enrique, Negros Occidental yesterday.
Vincent Cañete, 26, and Jojean Pura, were both residents of the town’s Barangay Tabao Rizal.
According to investigators, the couple were trying to avoid a dog when hit by the truck driven by Arturo Bayona of Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but the husband was pronounced dead by the attending physician.
Bayona was detained at the San Enrique police station.
Police said the suspect also mulls filing a case against the owner of the dog./PN
