ILOILO City – Police arrested a suspected illegal drug dealer in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district on Saturday.
The 47-year-old resident Bernardo Delmo yielded three sachets of shabu contained in a black pouch, a police report showed.
These were on top of the plastic pack of the same substance he sold to an undercover officer for P500 at around 11:40 a.m.
Delmo was detained in the lockup cell of the Mandurriao police station.
Police will file charges against him for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
FRUSTRATED MURDER SUSPECT NABBED
Wanted for a frustrated murder charge, a resident of Barangay Tuy-an, Cabatuan, Iloilo had been arrested.
The 41-year-old Roel Adoracion was accused of trying to kill a resident of San Miguel town.
He has been hiding in Cabatuan for 17 years now, a police report stated.
Police officers from San Miguel under their head Chief Inspector Jojo Tabaloc served him a warrant of arrest at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Adoracion was detained at the San Miguel police station.
Judge Rene Honrado of the Regional Trial Court Branch 29 issued the warrant.
Tabaloc said the court set the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty at P200,000.
POLICE CATCH MAN FOR UNLICENSED GUN
For possessing an unlicensed firearm, a resident of Barangay Santo Domingo, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo was arrested, a police report showed.
Joemarie Aguirre faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
A .45 pistol without license and another .45 pistol with license and loaded with six ammunition were seized from.
Officers from the municipal police station served him a warrant to search his house at around 5:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Aguirre was taken to the Barotac Viejo police station after his arrest./PN
