ILOILO City â Police were still trying to identify the suspect in shooting a 16-year-old in front of a high school in Balasan, Iloilo.
A police report identified the victim as Mark Toriaga.
Toriaga sustained a gunshot wound on the left shoulder, police said.
He was taken to the Iloilo Mission Hospital in Jaro district for treatment.
Toriaga was driving a Smash motorcycle when fired at by a gunman riding another motorcycle, police said, citing investigation.
Toriaga was with Jessa Barcarlos and someone identified only as âWoweâ during the shooting at around 10:56 p.m. on Monday.
They were passing by Balasan National High School at the time, the police report stated.
An empty shell of a .45 pistol was recovered from the crime scene.
The shooter fled after the incident. Police were also still trying to determine the motive as of this writing./PN
