ILOILO City – A balot vendor was stabbed in Barangay Lanit, Jaro district.
Doctors at the West Visayas State University Medical Center where 20-year-old Melvin Castro was brought said an ice pick was likely used on the victim.
The stabbing happened on Oct. 11 around 7:40 p.m.
Castro, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, sustained five wounds in his back and sides.
As of this writing, the police of Jaro still did not have suspects./PN
