ANILAO, Iloilo – A bamboo vendor is being hunted by the police for stabbing to death his neighbor during the fiesta in Sitio Bugnay, Brgy. Camiros here on Friday night.
The police personnel are trying to coordinate with the family and relatives of Jomar Ramos of Brgy. Balabag, Anilao to ask him to surrender and face the charges.
Ramos is the suspect in the killing of his neighbor, Romy Galelea.
According to Insp. Samuel Vipinosa, Anilao police chief, the incident happened around 10 p.m. while the victim was at the dance hall of Brgy. Camiros. The suspect stabbed him from behind.
The victim succumbed to a deep wound on the right side of his body.
Vipinosa told Panay News that a few years ago, the victim hit the suspect during an altercation. Cooler heads intervened.
“We are coordinating with the family of the suspects for him to surrender. He has to face the case to be filed against him,” Vipinosa said./PN
