ILOILO City – A 70-year-old woman from Barangay Mangopaya, Banate, Iloilo complained to the Jaro police station that she had been scammed.
Early this year, said Rosa Bactung, she bought a “therapeutic machine” worth P3,900 from two men who claimed to be working at “4J Health Wellness Machine and Massage Services” in Barangay Libertad, Sta. Isabel, Jaro.
The machine bogged down recently, said Bactung and so on Sept. 16 she looked for “4J Health Wellness Machine and Massage Services” because she was told by the men that the machine had a one-year warranty.
To her dismay, said Bactung, there wasn’t a “4J Health Wellness Machine and Massage Services” in the address that the men gave her./PN
