AKLAN – A man was unable to speak after he sustained a slash wound on his neck following a stabbing incident around 2:20 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Tinapuay, Banga town.
Marlou Nama, 25, and a resident of Barangay Singay, Madalag town, is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kalibo.
Banga police said Nama was about to ride his motorcycle in front of the barangay covered court when the suspect identified as Rens Montuya, 24, from Barangay Daja Sur, Banga, approached and stabbed him on the neck.
Police later arrested the suspect in his house and recovered from his possession the knife he used to stab the victim.
The suspect was detained at the Banga Municipal Police Station for proper disposition./PN
