ILOILO – Three men were apprehended for illegal fishing in Barangay Bagongon, Concepcion town.
Aliases “Bryan,” the captain of M/V Uno; “Roberto,” the captain of M/V Alia; and “Maorecio” were caught by personnel of the province’s Bantay Dagat Task Force during their seaborne patrol around 8:55 p.m. on Monday, September 23.
Also seized were three fishing vessels engaged in illegal trawling in the town’s territorial waters.
Bantay Dagat said the arrested individuals violated municipal ordinance which pertains to “unregistered fishing vessels.”/PN
