ILOILO City – Barangay Captain Carlos Gempeson of Bacong, Guimbal, Iloilo faces a physical injury charge.
He was accused of striking the head of a man with a stone in their barangay, a police report showed.
The 46-year-old village chief was arrested 8 p.m. Sunday.
Circumstances that led to the incident remained unclear as of this writing.
Gempeson attacked Roberto Gepilano that night without any provocation, the police report stated.
Gepilano sustained a “slight injury” on the head, police said.
