ILOILO City – A village councilman was apprehended over charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The 52-year-old Jose Hiso was arrested Wednesday in his residence in Barangay Fernando Parcon Ward, Pototan, Iloilo, a police report showed.
His arrest was conducted on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Domingo Casiple of the Regional Trial Court Branch 68 issued.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Pototan police station.
A P200,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
