BARBAZA, Antique – Policemen and firefighters here underwent a two-day training on basic life support and first aid on July 27  and 28.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) organized the training.

Several municipal government employees also participated.

MDRRMO personnel and staff headed by Engineer Isidro Magtulis were the trainers.

The training was in line with the celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month and 27th PCR (Police Community Relations) Month with the theme “Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos at Maunlad na Pamayanan”.

The training equipped the participants with basic knowledge, skills and attitude to perform with confidence basic first aid and basic life support techniques to save lives.

The Barbaza municipal police station is headed by Police Leutinant Allan Alagos while the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Barbaza chief is Senior Fire Officer 3 Antonio Baclagon Jr., the municipal fire marshall./PN
