SAN JOSE, Antique – He was hacked to death, police said.
The 46-year-old farmer Ramil Francisco was on the middle of the rice field when he was allegedly attacked by three men using bolos around 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 20 in Barangay Beri, Barbaza, Antique.
Francisco was rushed to the Pedro Gindap Municipal Hospital in the said town where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Tagged suspects were Alberto Española, 19; Dioneto Española, 30; and Joemarie Española, 35.
Francisco and the three had an argument prior to the hacking, a police report showed.
But it was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Recovered from the crime scene were three bolos that the suspects used in the hacking.
Detained in the lockup facility of the municipal police station, the Españolas face charges./PN
