SAN JOSE, Antique – Police were still locating the suspect in hacking a man in Barangay Mayabay, Barbaza, Antique.
The 40-year-old resident Lemuel Juanites sustained hack wounds on the different parts of the body, a police report showed.
Lemuel was currently recuperating at the Pedro L. Gindap Municipal Hospital in Barbaza.
Police identified the suspect as the 30-year-old Jay Juanites, also a resident of Barangay Mayabay.
Lemuel and Jay are related but it was not immediately clear how.
According to investigation, the two had a fistfight around 8 p.m. on Friday, which eventually led to the hacking.
Jay used a bolo to attack Lemuel, the investigators said.
Jay then fled to an unknown direction, they added.
The incident was reported to the Barbaza municipal police station at 5 a.m. yesterday.
Police were still determining the motive in the hacking./PN
