As part of the new iWant TFC digital series “Oh, Mando!,” Barbie Imperial said she is proud to be part of the newest BL series because she has always been open and welcoming to the LGBTQ community.
“Hindi sa akin importante kung anong klase kang tao, if you’re straight or whatever. Ako kasi marami rin akong kaibigan sa LGBTQ and to be honest, ako nga mas marami pa akong friends na guys and gays. As long as may respeto ka sa akin, mabait ka sa akin, mabuti kang tao, at lalo kung alam ko ‘yung kuwento ng isang tao, alam ko kung ano ‘yung pain niya, mamahalin ko talaga siya,” she shared.
The 22-year-old actress also revealed she is actually looking forward to doing her own LGBTQ project in the future. “Yes. Pinag-usapan namin ito ni direk Edong (Roy) before nung nasa lock-in kami. Parang sabi ko, ‘Direk, gawa din kaya tayo ng ganito rin?’ Ako na rin nag-cast. Sabi ko, ‘Direk, si Sue (Ramirez) tapos si Loisa (Andalio) puwede?’ (laughs) As in gustong gusto ko talaga.
