BACOLOD City – A barge capsized near the coast of Anjouan Island in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, police said.
The vessel PM1-1 was on its way to San Jose, Antique from Albuera Port in Leyte at around 9:16 a.m. Wednesday when it encountered big waves and strong winds, said the police.
No one was reported dead or injured in light of the incident.
Personnel from the Sipalay City police station, the Philippine Coast Guard and the Sipalay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responded.
