ILOILO City – A suspected “bookies” bet collector was detained.
Police arrested the 36-year-old Delfin Calderon yesterday in his house on Cartagena Street, Barangay Ilaud Poblacion, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
He was “caught in the act,” a police report showed.
A set of cotejos (betting stubs), a black ball pen and P230 worth of bet money were seized from the suspect.
Calderon was taken to the Barotac Nuevo police station after his arrest around 9:45 a.m./PN
