Bato believes leaked PDEA docus on PBBM ‘authentic’

MANILA – Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa believes the alleged leaked Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) documents linking President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to illegal drugs were authentic.

“Kung sinabi ng PDEA na ito ay AI-generated, na ito ay gawa-gawa lang sa computer, ay hindi po ako makapaniwala,” Dela Rosa said in an interview with Teleradyo Serbisyo.

He said he saw the documents which were leaked online.

“Kung sinabi nila na non-existent talaga yang papel na ‘yan, ‘di ako naniniwala,” he added. “I bet my life dun sa authenticity ng papel na yun. Masasabi ko talaga na totoo.”

Dela Rosa further said that PDEA may be right in claiming that the documents were not part of their records, but this does not mean that the documents were not real.

The senator claimed that there were markings on the leaked documents that pointed to their authenticity, including punch-hole marks on the photocopy.

Dela Rosa also noted that the contents of the alleged leak also showed that the vehicles that were going to be used for the PDEA surveillance operation were “organic” vehicles of the agency.

The PDEA, in a previous statement, dismissed the documents as fake and warned the public against believing such claims “in an age where Artificial Intelligence can generate realistic fake videos, spurious documents.”

In the said leaked document, President Marcos and actress Maricel Soriano were being linked illegal drug use, but the supposed operation in 2012 did not push through as it was allegedly stopped by former PDEA deputy director general Carlos Gadapan, as allegedly ordered by then Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr./PN
