His office is also the one implementing agriculture-related projects like presidential bridges, water systems, and storage facilities, etc.

“Ginpapili ako kon finance, operations, legal or support services. Ginpili ko more on foreign-assisted programs,” said Palmares, provincial chairman of Lakas-CMD, Duterte’s political party.

His appointment, according to Palmares, would be beneficial to the region.

“Wala pa sang gin-appoint si BBM from our region. This is the first so I’m taking this chance nga makabulig kita kay kadamo agrarian reform areas naton (in Region 6). Amo na happy man ako,” added Palmares.

Palmares said he would resign as Passi City vice mayor next week.

This Saturday I’ll meet the city council,” he said.

The No. 1 Passi City Councilor will become the vice mayor – Elyzer Chavez.

This would have been just the second consecutive term of Palmares as Passi City vice mayor. He had been Passi City mayor several times.
