BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has put up assistance desks in strategic areas around the city to ensure a timely response to crime incidents.

Colonel Noel Aliño, BCPO director, said there are 25 Bacolod City Police Public Assistance Desks (BPADs) in the schools, call center buildings, markets and hospitals.

Each has two police personnel from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, the BCPO is eyeing to make them operational 24 hours daily.

Police Captain Peter John Ramos will supervise the BPADs.

“BPADs are manned by personnel or focal persons trained to promptly cater to the public’s needs,” Aliño said.

They will also answer the public’s queries, assist and process requests for assistance, and give proper advice on relevant matters.

“Through BPAD, members of the community may seek immediate police assistance and report incidents of crimes, violence and other occurrences that disturb the peace and order in their respective areas,” Aliño also said./PN
