BACOLOD City – To ensure the readiness of the city police for the upcoming MassKara Festival and the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) held a simulation exercise (SIMEX) at the BCPO grounds yesterday morning.
Police Colonel Noel Aliño, BCPO director, led the activity.
“Makita niyo naman na prepared kami. Sabi nila saving lives ang priority. ‘Pag may pagkakataon mabuhay, dapat syempre bubuhayin natin, ” Aliño said.
He then warned the criminals: “Huwag na kayo pumunta dito (Bacolod) kasi madidisgrasya kayo sa BCPO.”
The BCPO conducted active simulation exercises for hostage-taking, robbery, shooting, and bombing, among others.
The city’s top cop lauded the police execution. He added that the SIMEX should be done regularly.
This year’s MassKara Festival will officially open on Saturday, Oct. 7. The highlights will be on Oct. 21 (Electric MassKara) and Oct. 22 (Street and Arena Dance Competition).
The campaign period, meanwhile, for the Oct. 30 BSKE is from Oct. 19 to 28./PN
