BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) Police Station 7 (PS7) is stepping up its patrolling in Barangay Vista Alegre in this city following a series of robbery-holdup incidents.
PS7 commander Captain Andy Ofalia said they are also intensifying police visibility particularly on the “shortcut road” in the village heading to the sub-villages of Arao, Abada Escay and Progreso.
On Aug. 21 at around 9 p.m., a family riding a motorcycle were waylaid and held up by unidentified armed men.
Several incidents again took place in the next few days, including a robbery-holdup incident victimizing an Indian national.
Police said the suspects took the victim’s motorcycle, although it was later recovered.
Ofalia further advised motorists who cannot avoid the aforementioned “shortcut road” to be cautious especially at night. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
