BACOLOD City – The city government provided the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) with six new patrol cars to better serve this city.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez turned over six Mitsubishi Strada to BCPO director, Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds on Oct. 21.
The patrol cars were for police stations 5, 9, and 10; Traffic Enforcement Unit; Bacolod City Mobile Force Company; and the Mobile Patrol Unit.
BCPO thanked the city government for its support.
Benitez on Oct. 8 pledged to provide an initial of six patrol vehicles to the BCPO.
As part of the crime prevention campaign of the BCPO, the city government also procured eight big bikes, of which two have already been turned over to the city police./PN
