BCPO seizes P2.3-M ‘shabu’ from four high-value targets

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) conducted a successful buy-bust operation early yesterday morning, September 19, resulting to the arrest of four high-value drug suspects and seizure of approximately 350 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P2,380,000.

Police carried out the operation around 4:40 a.m. in Purok Himaya, Barangay Mansilingan here and apprehended Jesus Perez, 32; Junji Alila, 36; John Mark Alila, 23; and Jezelle Ann Braba, 29, all residents of the said village.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., chief of the BCPO’s City Drug Enforcement Unit, recovered were one medium heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (buy-bust item), two knot-tied plastic bags and eight additional medium heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu,P1,000 in buy-bust money, coin purse, and shoulder bag.

The suspects are now under police custody. They will be charged for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
