BACOLOD City – Officers of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated illegal drugs approximately valued at P3,774,000 in this city from August 10 to 11.
In Barangay Tangub, three high-value drug suspects were arrested for possessing around 300 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P2,040,000 around 7:08 p.m. on Saturday, August 10.
Police identified the suspects as Jerome Paurillo, 37, an alleged member of the notorious Bugalon drug group, who has a previous arrest record for violating firearm laws; Lloyd Paul Toculan, 29, a construction worker; and Aive Jean Colonia, 32. All three were residents of Negros Occidental’s Isabela, Valladolid and Hinigaran towns, respectively.
In another anti-drug operation early morning on Sunday, August 11, the city cops arrested two more suspects, Marivic “Madam” Montes, 54, and Ray-An Espinosa, 39.
The two food vendors were caught around 2:22 a.m. in Purok Uno Sisi, Barangay Singcang-Airport. They yielded 255 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P1,734,000.
All five suspects were detained and will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The aforementioned operations were part of a broader two-day anti-illegal drug campaign of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) from 6 a.m. on August 9 to 5:59 a.m. on August 11.
During this period, PRO-6 conducted a total of 32 operations across Western Visayas, resulting in the arrest of 42 individuals and the seizure of 784 grams of suspected shabu worth an estimated P5.3 million./PN
