“THE Day After Valentine’s” star Bela Padilla, a frequent leading lady in “sawi” romantic films, is taking on a new role on television – behind the cameras.
Padilla is the brains behind an upcoming six-episode mini-series under Dreamscape Entertainment Television, an ABS-CBN entertainment production unit.
“Very light lang,” she described the project, as quoted by PEP.ph. “Hindi ko alam kung puwede nang ikuwento, pero I wrote it a while back.”
Padilla, whose last starring role in a TV series was “My Dear Heart” in 2017, clarified she will only be involved in the planned mini-series as a producer, not an actress.
“Talagang creator at producer lang ako,” she said. “I would say na may fulfillment siya sa akin kahit hindi na ako ang nasa harap ng camera.”
The 27-year-old actress, who also has experience as a film producer, was most recently the screenwriter for Star Cinema’s “Last Night,” a 2017 film starring Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga. (ABS-CBN News)
