MANILA – Samjosef Belangel and the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus rolled to their second straight win in the Korean Basketball League after an 85-63 rout over the Goyang Sono Skygunners at the Daegu Gymnasium.

The Negrense guard finished with 14 points, including a three-pointer, to go with six assists and four rebounds as the Pegasus moved to a share of second place with a 9-4 win-loss slate.

Shin Seung-min top-scored for the Pegasus with 25 points, including five three-point conversions, while Youssopha Ndoye and Lee Dae-heon contributed 13 and 11 markers, respectively.

“There were a lot of errors in the first half and our shots didn’t go in well,” Pegasus head coach Kang Hyuk said after the game. “But we only gave up 33 points in defense. I’m satisfied with that part.”

“The players were also active in rebounds. Thanks to that, we played comfortably at the end. They must have been tired, but they had fun at home,” he added, “I hope we can continue this atmosphere in the next game.”

D.J. Burns tallied 30 points to lead the Skygunners, while Lee Jae-do added 12 markers as they dropped to 5-9 win-loss card.

Meanwhile, Filipino-American guard Ethan Alvano regained his offensive game as Wonju DB Promy scored a dominant 98-67 victory over Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters.

Alvano, the reigning MVP, finished with a team-high of 21 points, including five three-point conversions, to go with six assists and five rebounds as the Promy improved to a 6-8 win-loss slate.

Javi Gomez de Liano, on the other hand, struggled with just two points and two rebounds for the Red Boosters, which dropped to a 5-8 win-loss slate./PN
