MANILA – Ilonggo taekwondo jins showed their wares by taking home 14 medals during the 2019 Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships at the Ayala Malls, Manila Bay in Pasay City.
Juliana Martha Uy bannered the Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym stable with a gold medal in the grade school individual poomsae and a bronze medal as part of the grade school team poomsae.
Angela Bermejo, meanwhile, nabbed a silver in juniors kyorugi held on Sunday night while Sophia Grace Go and Sheine Nicole de Asis also placed runner up in the cadet and elementary kyorugi, respectively.
Joshua Cachero, on the other hand, had two bronze medals in the juniors individual poomsae and in the juniors mixed poomsae with Rozennie Zane Tameta.
Other bronze winners were Cydric Esmana in cadet, Crisgel Castro and Neisha Pequierda.
Cindy Joy Diasnes spearheaded the A. Diasnes Taekwondo stable. She captured two silver medals while Elizabeth Marie Borres took home two bronze medals.
Diasnes got her first silver medal in the junior female individual poomsae before teaming up with Sophia Marie Tungala and Elaine Margaret Borres for the junior team poomsae silver.
Elizabeth Marie, on the other hand, notched her first bronze in the cadet female category of individual poomsae before notching a mixed pair bronze with Kean Ryth Bornazal./PN
