ILOILO City – Two men from Pototan, Iloilo were charged with engaging in illegal gambling.
Julie Silva, 22, was the bet collector. The bettor was Felix Pastolero, 35.
Both were residents of Barangay Cato-ogan, Pototan and were arrested there.
Policemen caught Silva in the act of receiving Pastolero’s bet.
Confiscated from Silva were a bundle of cotejo, one black ballpen, and P150 cash.
One piece of cotejo with written number combinations was seized from Pastolero.
According Senior Police Officer 3 John Pasaporte of Pototan, the court recommended a P20,000 bail bond for the bet collector while P12,000 for the bettor for their provisional liberty./PN
