
KALIBO, Aklan – In a significant push to improve educational facilities in Aklan, the Uswag Ilonggo Party-List, under the leadership of Cong. Jojo Ang together with Aklan’s Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores, has begun constructing 14 new school buildings across the province.


A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 27, marking a major step toward addressing the need for more classrooms and improved learning environments for students. The initiative will bring new school buildings to various locations:
* P46,200,000 for Kalibo Elementary School – four-storey 12-classroom building
* P15,750,000 for Madalag National High School – two one-storey two-classroom buildings
* P15,750,00 for Libacao National Forestry Vocational High School – two-storey four-classroom building
* Maloco National High School in Ibajay – three-storey six-classroom and one-storey two-classroom buildings
* P31,500,000 for Balete Integrated School – three-storey six-classroom and one-storey two-classroom buildings.
* P23,500,000 for Aguinaldo T. Repiedad School in Banga – two-storey four-classroom and one-storey two-classroom buildings
* P15,750,000 for Camaligan National High School in Batan – two-storey four-classroom building
* P35,100,000 for Altavas National High School – three-storey nine-classroom building
* P31,500,000 for New Washington National Comprehensive High School – three-storey six-classroom and one-storey two-classroom buildings
Cong. Ang emphasized the importance of improving educational infrastructure to enhance students’ learning experiences.
“This development is another step toward improving education in Aklan. With these new buildings, more students will have access to better learning spaces, helping them achieve a brighter future,” he said.
This project is also a collaborative effort with Aklan 1st District’s Congressman Carlito Marquez, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Education, and the local government units who commits to giving strong focus on education by investing in modern school facilities./PN
