ANTIQUE – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) here recently held the 1st ANTIK Fire Square Show at Robinsons Place Antique.

It inculcated awareness primarily to children on fire preventive measures and cautious response in case of fire.

“This program was introduced to develop cognitive, the affective and the psychomotor skills”, said BFP-Antique director, Superintendent Patricio G. Collado.

“We thanked the parents and school administration of the participants for allowing the teachers and pupils to be part of this activity that will surely benefit each child’s life. Fire is very important in human life but once taken for granted it leads to misfortune,” said Collado.

The participants of the said event were children and faculty members of Doane Causeway Baptist Church Learning Center, Incorporated, who experienced different activities such as, obstacle course for kids, amazing race for young adults, and exhibit of firefighting PPEs and equipment.

Jocelyn Armada, a guardian of one of the pupils, shared how valuable this experience was to his grandson.

The event was graced by BFP Region 6 director Chief Superintendent Jerry D. Candido, Vice Gov. Edgar Denosta, San Jose de Buenavista mayor Elmer Untaran, and Robinsons Antique Operations Manager Tina Estrada./PN
