ESTANCIA, Iloilo – “Patience pays.”
The two-word quotation sums up the success of police operatives here. They nabbed a suspected big-time illegal drug pusher in Villa Panian.
The 32-year-old Agustin Jocson of said place was collared around 5 p.m. on Friday and yielded five big sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The Estancia police chief, Senior Insp. Lorenez Losaria, led the arrest of Jocson who had been under surveillance for months.
An asset gave the police the location of the suspect’s house.
The cops secured a search warrant from Judge Danilo Balagtas of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC), Batad-Estancia branch.
Earlier, Iloilo police director, Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas showed records of 90 high-value drug dealers they had caught in the last five months, some of whom were barangay officials.
Jocson was reportedly the source of small-time drug dealers in Estancia and neighboring towns in northern Iloilo.
Records from the IPPO showed that policemen across the province staged 63 drug operations from January to May.
Seized from the 90 drug suspects were a total of 95.7467 grams of shabu with a total value of P1,385,600.
The IPPO made the highest number of arrests (27 persons) last month./PN
