MANILA – A day after clearing President Rodrigo Duterte, his family and friends from illegal drug trade and tagging the opposition behind the destabilization plot, “Bikoy” Peter John Advincula was rushed to the hospital.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Oscar Albayalde said Advincula was rushed to the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame on Friday after his blood pressure elevated.
“Nagshoot-up ‘yung blood pressure niya na 130 over 90, at parang ang sinabi niya nahihilo raw siya, so pinahospital muna namin siya, probably kailangan niyang magpahinga,” Albayalde said.
“I think actually naka-hospital siya based from the feedback that I got,” Albayalde added. “He was rushed to the hospital initially after complaining of dizziness.”
Advincula before claimed he was “Bikoy” behind the viral “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video who accused Sen. Bong Go, Davao City congressman Paolo Duterte and presidential son-in-law Manases Carpio of receiving drug money.
However, Advincula retracted all of his allegations on the First Family on Thursday and traded his guns on the oppositions as those behind the destabilization of the Duterte administration.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) urged Advincula to submit himself to investigation and present evidence against those he implicated on the illegal drug trade.
DOJ secretary Menardo Guevarra said they might consider filing a case against Advincula if he cannot substantiate all the allegations he threw on the First Family before and now against the opposition.
“We reiterate that call today in light of his new revelations regarding his transactions with certain personalities in the production and dissemination of those videos, and the equally serious implications of those revelations,” Guevarra said.
He added the truthfulness of Advincula’s allegations will be best threshed out in a “thorough investigation conducted by experts, following a rigorous legal process towards the ascertainment of the truth.” /PN
