BACOLOD City – A teacher of Binalbagan Catholic College was found dead early yesterday morning in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
Authorities identified the fatality as 51-year-old Tony Lazaga, a resident of Barangay 35, Bacolod City and temporarily residing in Barangay San Pedro.
Lazaga was on his way back to his boardinghouse from a birthday party in Bacolod City when attacked, said Police Lieutenant Glen Portunes, deputy police chief of the Binalbagan police station.
He sustained 10 stab wounds.
Police believed Lazaga could have been robbed. His mobile phone was missing, although his other valuables such as his wallet and laptop were still in his possession. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
