ILOILO City – For allegedly threatening a fellow villager, a resident of Barangay Bito-on, Jaro was arrested.

The 46-year-old Benny Dela Cruz Lopez was detained in the custodial facility of the district police station.

Eddie Dela Cruz Lopez, 54, said he was driving his tricycle in the barangay when Benny Dela Cruz Lopez blocked his way and yelled at him, “Patyon ta ka! Patyon ta ka! Kwaan ta ka armas,” a police report showed.

The incident happened on Friday, police said.

Gago ka! Gago ka,” Eddie Dela Cruz Lopez quoted Benny Dela Cruz Lopez as telling him, the police report stated.

It was not immediately clear how the two Lopezes were related.

No officer from the Jaro police station could confirm their relationship. This paper was unable to independently verify either.

Benny Dela Cruz Lopez, who was believed drunk, was turned over to the Jaro police station after his arrest at around 6:45 p.m./PN
