BACOLOD City – There is a 13-percent increase in the number of applications for business permit in the city this year, according to Stela Rose Rayos, head of the city governemnt’s Permits and Licensing Division.
From January to November this year, Rayos said they already have registered 21,812 business permit applications, higher compared to 19,021 applications in 2016 and 18,817 applications in 2015.
Rayos said the number may still increase.
Rayos is also expecting increased number of applicants next year, citing the opening of businesses of Ayala Land, Inc. in the city.
Next year, the city government will also fully mobilize the Joint Inspection Team to involve all government agencies in processing permits.
Rayos said they have already mobilized the Joint Inspection Team this year but only partly, depending on the availability of a vehicle for inspection.
Rayos said some business establishments that have not yet applied for permits were already served with notices./PN
