BJMP-6 hiring more jail guards to address lack of personnel

ILOILO City – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 6 is hiring 203 new jail guards.

Around 400 applicants are currently undergoing panel interviews. Those who pass will proceed to the medical examination.

Peremne said they need 47 female and 156 male jail guards.

“The scheduled oath taking for the new recruits is slated on Nov. 16,” said Peremne.

Each will receive a monthly compensation of P29,668 on top of hazard pay and other allowances.

Applicants must be graduates of any four-year course, holders of civil service eligibility or Professional Regulation Commission license and between 21 and 30 years old.

Aside from being at least 1.62 meters tall for men and 1.57 meters for women, applicants also should not weigh more than five kilograms of their ideal weight./PN
