BACOLOD City – Employees of the city government will be receiving a bonus.
The city was a recipient of the 2020 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), thus, allowing the grant of the performance-based bonus (PBB).
According to Mayor Evelio Leonardia, the recognition is “testimonial to the exemplary performance” of his administration amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
This is the second time since 2019 that Bacolod was given the SGLG Award.
Under a memorandum circular issued by the DILG, employees belonging to “Best Performing Offices” shall receive a bonus equivalent to 0.65 of their gross monthly pay, while those in units with ranking as “Better Performing Offices”, shall be given a PBB equivalent to 0.575 of their gross monthly salary, both as of Dec. 31, 2020.
The PBB is an additional bonus aside from the 14th month pay (yearend bonus)./PN
