ILOILO City – Noli Mosqueda was a suspected collector of bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies.”
The resident of Barangay Poblacion, Estancia, Iloilo was arrested in the village at around 5 p.m. on Monday.
Officers caught him soliciting bets. “Gambling paraphernalia” and P94 worth of bet money were seized from him, a police report stated.
Mosqueda was detained at the Estancia police station.
A day prior, three other people in three towns in Iloilo province were arrested for the same offense.
The 80-year-old Virgilio Jamora was caught in Zarraga, Lucia Lopez was nabbed in Pavia while Joemar Ramos was arrested in Balasan, police reports showed./PN
