ILOILO – Police caught a senior citizen on Wednesday, May 15, in Barangay Poblacion, New Lucena town for collecting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies.”
The 66-year-old alias “Anna” was a resident of the aforementioned barangay.
Officers of the New Lucena Municipal Police Station (MPS) confiscated P130 alleged bet money and illegal gambling paraphernalia.
The suspect was taken into custody by the New Lucena MPS.
She faces an illegal gambling charge./PN
