ILOILO City – Two women in Barangay Poblacion, Banate, Iloilo were arrested for allegedly engaging in the illegal numbers game “bookies.”
Suspects Gina Superal and Grace Bustamante were taken to the Banate police station around 12:30 p.m.
Recovered from them were P200 bet money and gambling paraphernalia, police said.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9287 (increasing the penalties for illegal numbers games) would be filed against them./PN
