Boracay drug sting yields ‘shabu’, gun

AKLAN – A 30-year-old man was apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Manoc-manoc on Boracay Island on Saturday, June 29.

Jose Perez, a resident of Barangay Caticlan, Malay town, yielded five sachets of suspected shabu and P10,000 in buy-bust money.

Officers of the Malay Municipal Police Station (MPS) also recovered 12-gauge pistol handgun and two bullets.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Malay MPS.

He is facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
