BORACAY – On Dec. 4 a drug sting operation was conducted in Sitio Tulubhan, Barangay Manocmanoc at around 11:15 a.m.

A poseur buyer handed a buy-bust money of P500 to a drug pushing suspect for a sachet of metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Operatives of Malay, Aklan police station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency immediately apprehended 34-year-old hairstylist Wiwi Alidon of Cebu province and temporarily staying for more than one month in Barangay Manocmanoc.

Three .9mm ammunitions and five sachets of suspected shabu were further recovered.

“Madulas itong suspek,” said Police Lieutenant Joven Vega of the Malay police station.

Alidon faces a charge for violation of Section 5 (selling of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possessing of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A complaint for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will also be filed against the suspect.

“Nag-umpisa siya magtinda ng ilegal na druga pagbukas ng Boracay itong Nobyembre, lalo na sa mga kabataan,” said Vega./PN
