BORACAY – Police arrested a music artist in a drug buy-bust operation in this famed island resort.
Five sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from 28-year-old Wilven Lao of Barangay Manoc-Manoc, Malay, Aklan, a police report showed.
Lao was nabbed after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 12:20 a.m. on May 4.
Aside from suspected shabu, a sling bag, two Indian pipes, two mobile phones and P141 cash were also seized.
He was detained in the Malay municipal police station’s custodial facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Lao. (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
