BORACAY – In the reader’s choice rankings, Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan has been named among the Top 10 best island in Asia by Condé Nast Traveler.
The coveted annual survey ranked Boracay Island as the third among Asia’s leading beach islands with a satisfaction score of 91.94.
The island, off the northern tip of Panay Island, was ranked No. 1 in 2022, No. 8 in 2021 and No. 3 last year.
The rankings of top beach destinations were released on October 1, 2024, which is based on overall satisfaction.
Koh Samui in Thailand, which scored 93.54, copped the No. 1 spot followed by Langkawi, Indonesia with 92.14 points.
Three islands in the country also made it to the 2024 list: Palawan ranked sixth (90.68), Cebu and Visayan Islands in eighth (90.29) and Siargao in 10th (89.2).
Now in its 37th edition, the readers of travel pub CN Traveler also picked Sri Lanka in fourth spot, earning a score of 91.28, and voted Phú Quốc, Vietnam in fifth (91.01).
The Readers’ Choice Awards is the travel industry’s longest-running and most prestigious accolades. More than 537,000 people voted in CN Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey.
