BORACAY ISLAND – Boracay Inter-agency Rehabilitation Management Group (BIARMG) general manager Natividad Bernandino gives 15 days ultimatum for establishments violating coastal and road easements to self-demolish.

“Maraming mga establishments na non-compliant at nag o-operate kahit walang permits at accreditation,” she said.

Bernandino noted almost 50 percent of accommodation establishments are still violating the coastal and road easements.

The BIARMG and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) already issued an ultimatum to the violators to self-demolish or remove their illegal structures, she said.

“Mabagal pa rin ang compliance sa beach easements, may mga pasaway pa rin,” she stressed

Bernandino said Boracay Island will undergo another phase of rehabilitation which should harmonize the preservation of the environment and its eco-system. (WithAkeanForum/PN)
