BACOLOD City – Despite Negros Occidental’s reopening of its borders, Hinoba-an town Mayor Ernesto Estrao revealed that its border control point between the town’s Barangay Sangke and Barangay Bongalonan, Basay in Negros Oriental remained in effect.
In a phone interview, Estrao explained the border control point complied with the executive order of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson adopting the national directive on uniform travel protocols.
Estrao said individuals from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental can still enter the town. However, they are required to present a negative swab test result and S-Pass System and StaySafe.PH registration prior to entry.
The mayor also revealed that the other border control point which is located in Barangay Talacagay bordering Sipalay City, Negros Occidental had been removed.
Estrao said commuters from Sipalay City will no longer be checked./PN
