ANTIQUE – A 13-year-old boy died in a hit-and-run along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, Belison town.
Juan Carlos Gallano of the locality succumbed to head injuries.
Emergency medical responder Franciso Ellaga Jr. of the Patnongon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reported the incident to the local police around 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3.
Closed-circuit television camera footage from the area showed that an oil tanker hit the boy.
The Belison Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the driver as Jose Reynaldo Gallano, a relative of the victim.
The suspect did not notice the boy because it was dark and the victim was wearing a black shirt, according to Police Staff Sergeant Kevin Silva of the Belison MPS./PN
