ILOILO City – A 16-year-old boy claimed he was raped in Barangay Calumpang, Molo district and seven of his attackers were homosexuals.
The alleged rape happened on the night of Aug. 25 at a friend’s house, the boy told the Molo police.
The suspects were not strangers to the boy; they were his binge drinking buddies.
The boy’s mother said that her son had a drinking spree with his friend but the suspects later joined them.
The boy said he passed out and found himself already naked when he woke up. The suspects may have slipped sleeping pills into his drink, he claimed.
On Aug. 26 at around 6 p.m., the boy returned to their house. According to the mother, her son was weak and had fever. The boy then revealed to his mother what happened and they immediately reported this to the police.
The Molo police station would be investigating the boy’s claim, said Major Engilbert Banquillo.
Their next move would depend on the result of the boy’s medical examination.
“My personnel are preparing all the needed papers for filing. We are only waiting for the medical exam result of the victim,” said Banquillo./PN
