Boy, 17, hacked

BACOLOD City – He landed in a hospital after he was hacked in Barangay Gomez, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.

The 17-year-old boy was now recuperating at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, police said.

According to investigators, the 40-year-old Barangay Gomez resident Ale Osorio was responsible for hurting the boy.

Osorio was having a conversation with John Paul Burgos and Ian Jorilla at Edwin Matillano’s house on Sunday.

That was when the boy attacked Burgos and Jorilla. Osorio tried to pacify them but the boy allegedly stabbed him with a 12-inch knife.

Osorio retaliated by hacking the boy on the head and right arm using an 18-inch bolo, police said.

Osorio was arrested and detained at the Pontevedra municipal police station lockup facility.

It was not immediately clear why the boy attacked Burgos and Jorilla./PN
